Wednesday, February 17, 2016 Posted by Sandeep Kumar Jha

A grid is a series of vertical and horizontal lines that are used to subdivide a page vertically and horizontally into margins, columns, inter-column spaces, lines of type and spaces between blocks of type and images.

A grid is something which is in a pattern of straight lines that cross over each other, forming squares.

On maps the grid is used to help you find a particular thing or place.

At its most basic, the sizes of a grid’s component parts are determined by ease of reading and handling.
